FACES BY FLAKES

Hi guys. My name is Courtney Johnson Flakes.  I currently reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. I work as a freelancer to top brands like Lancôme, Smashbox, Glam glo, and Origins. I have worked as a Selling Specialist for PUR Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury.  I started my makeup journey at Ulta in 2015 and shortly, after being a Prestige Advisor of 4 months, was promoted to Full Time Manager at the Lancôme Counter.  I am currently still a freelancer for the top brands inside Ulta and Sephora.  I also have my personal business Faces_by_ Flakes, in which I sample the latest products, show application, personal shop for clients, and do makeup applications on others. 
 
My passion and hobby did not always consist of makeup.   I was "that chick" that only wore lip-gloss.  Initially, I was planning to become a group fitness instructor. Instead of studying, I found myself stuck watching YouTube day and night.  I watched it so much until I was like " I CAN DO THIS".  I immediately started buying items randomly.  I would send pics to my  girlfriends and they encouraged me that I was doing so good that I should be working at a counter or in a store.  On faith, I applied for a job at Ulta Beauty and got the job the same day.   I eventually started sharing my knowledge on Facebook with friends and strangers via Facebook Live. I’ve been going live for over 6 yrs now.  I love what I do.  I love sharing my skills and the knowledge I have learned with ALL of you guys as well as helping to create a flawless application. It's sooo just not Beauty.. but my PASSION.
